Hello All,

The Shambhala Dance Hall's coming up next Friday! Teresa will be warming us up with a Soundscape: Sound Yoga Sound Immersion. Come join us from 8:30-9:00 for this high vibration tuning in and warming up time, before we move into  2 hours of Divine DJ spinnings with Dj Shakti and Guest.

Last Dance Hall the floor magically transformed from a Dance Hall into a Community Bodywork Hall at 11:00. You never know what's going to happen....Come find out! Come do your body and self right by dancing it up, and meeting new and old friends in this safe, fun, and freedance setting.

Come Dance, Every First Friday!
Come freestyle dance in Shambhala's beautiful bamboo studio. On June 1 Sound Priestess Teresa will create a Sound Yoga Sound Immersion for a high vibration warm up time from 8:30-9:00, then DJ Shakti and possible guest DJ's will delight us with tunes for Dancing into the Night. This is a community run freestyle dance, modeled after some of our faves: Dance Freedom, Freestyle Frolic, and Barefoot Boogie. There's ample room to warm up and settle in, in your own way: meditation, yoga, contact improv all are welcome. Choice tunes will be playing for your dancing pleasure. $5-10 at the door. Community Circle at 11.
8:30 Sound Yoga Sound Immersion with Teresa
9:00-11:00 DJ Shakti and possible Guest

11:00 Community Circle

Sound Yoga Sound Immersion connects mind, body and spirit through the sounds of singing bowls, Pythagorean Tuning Forks and the human voice.  At the beginning of the immersion the Five Elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether) come to play as sound and sound bodies are moving throughout the space. Raga music from India arrives next, offering a unique mood, attitude, story and image for all to enjoy.

Teresa Schoendorf (Durga Divadas) is a Yoga Alliance-registered yoga teacher with more than 500 hours of training in teaching Hatha Yoga. Her yoga studies include her immersion into the philosophy of Advaita (Non-Dual) Vedanta as well as Patanjali focused studies in the lineage of Krishanmacharya. Teresa is just back from serving  for four months at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in The Bahamas.

DJ Shakti spins a mix of Kirtan based Grooves, World, Reggae, hip-hop, and danceable Indie and New Music. Music to support embodied movement and full on creative dancing. When not dancing, you can find Shakti upstairs at Shambhala where she has a private practice in Prema Healing, Thai Yoga Massage, and Massage Therapy. www.MassageandMovement.com
